Our challenge was to create a bold symbol and identity system from scratch that resonated with the youth of Sudan, with just a 3-day turnaround to design the initial logo. We started by researching imagery that would be meaningful, combining Sudanese culture with basketball's growing influence in Africa.

After exploring existing basketball logos and drawing inspiration from iconic sports brands like the Premier League, we landed on a design that merges the essence of hope from the Sudanese flag with a clear basketball mark.

The triangle, symbolizing forward momentum, and the color palette were both pulled from the flag, ensuring the brand captured the spirit of progress. We then designed the event's marketing materials, highlighting the esteemed guest speakers to build excitement for the 2-day virtual summit.
